Kentucky Show!
The Kentucky Show! project is a 2,000 SF renovation of the old north lobby lounge at the Kentucky Center for the Arts. The theater was built to house the new Kentucky Show, a multimedia show about Kentucky by nationally renowned Donna Laurence Productions. The most difficult challenge on the project was how to transform the light filled airy room with 15’-0” glass on three sides into a dark intimate cinema. This was accomplished with the use of floor to ceiling velour curtains, motorized blackout window shades, acoustic ceiling tiles, fabric acoustic wall panels, and varied ceiling heights.
