This project generated lively discussion among the jurors, who agree that it will stimulate needed dialogue about contextual design.”

The High School is a particularly successful part of the overall project. The insertion of the entry structure strengthens the entry experience through the existing exterior court. This project is an excellent model for the successful blending of a complex set of program elements into an existing context.”

The use of site topography and preservation of significant site features, teamed with a great respect and understanding of issues of public and private places in unit planning and community planning, combine to make this a project worthy of special note for its planning aspect in particular. This is a first-rate response executed with appropriate human scale, great skill and sensitivity not often found in the luxury housing market.”
