The Abbey of Our Lady of Gethsemani – Retreat House & Dormitory
The program called for the renovation of an unused, but existing dormitory for a revised retreat program as well as the redesign of the entry and worship spaces for retreat participants and monastery visitors. The various existing styles of architecture which compose the cloister quadrangle and retreat house were given a more coherent and harmonious appearance. Entries to the retreat house, cloistered garden, church and chapel were organized around the ”entry court.”
