Gilda’s Club Kentuckiana
Gilda’s Club Kentuckiana, a nonprofit organization that provides support for those diagnosed with cancer and their families, needed to relocate and expand their space. This new clubhouse project includes the renovation of two existing buildings, a former educational building and a market. A new 3,000 SF addition accommodates the main entry for members, a new atrium art gallery and connects the two different floor levels of the existing buildings. Part of the renovation design included excavation to introduce more natural light to the lower level and provide access to a new outdoor patio area. The clubhouse spaces include a large community room, kitchen, art room, a children’s area named Noogieland, group meeting rooms, a library and exercise room to serve a variety of programming. Office space for support staff is housed in the former market building. Don’t miss the before and after shots on this project that we have highlighted – what an amazing transformation!
