Preston Pointe
Preston Pointe is a five-story mixed used commercial office and residential structure location between downtown Louisville, KY and the Nulu development. The building respects the height and scale of Main Street, at four and five stories but rises to a height of thirteen stories on the riverside providing sweeping views of the Ohio River. The design intent was to help spur redevelopment of the East Main Street neighborhood by creating an energizing presence.
AIA Jury Comments: “As infill construction, this building’s bold, iconic design creates a landmark statement, and as a consequence, brings new vitality and interest to an older urban neighborhood. It fearlessly responds to difficult site constraints and mixed-use conditions. This project generated lively discussion among the jurors, who agree that it will stimulate needed dialogue about contextual design.”
